GET YOUR LPFM STATION ON THE RADIO!
Hey there LPFM stations…some of you already air us…some of you may
never have heard of us…but we love you all the same.

We are Making Contact, a weekly half-hour social justice themed radio
program (www.radioproject.org), and long time friend of the Prometheus
Radio Project. We’re doing an episode about LPFM’s and the upcoming
application window  We want the listening audience to understand what
an LPFM is, and what its value is to a local community—that’s where
you come in.

We are looking for short (meaning 2 minutes or less) audio
tours/profiles of your LPFM station.  Take us inside the station, to
meet the people, hear the sounds, and help us understand it’s
personality and uniqueness, both on air and off.  Show us why you love
your little station, and why we should want our own in our town!

It does need to be good audio quality—no popping p’s, wind noise,
people speaking off-mic, music drowning out people speaking, etc. But
please, be creative audio wise—ambient sound, music, airchecks, radio
sound etc are great!  Just make sure to include somewhere in there
your stations call letters and location.

We will post all of the contributions on our website, and choose a few
good ones to include in our show, which will air over the summer on
over 130 stations in the US, Canada, Australia, and South Africa.

If you have any questions, or to submit an audio profile of your
station, email Andrew Stelzer at astelzer@radioproject.org

Please pass this message to other folks at LPFM’s who might not have
received it.

And if you want to learn more about our show…how to air us…how to
have your local reporters pitch us stories, etc….check out the site
and be in touch. We’re free to air for non-commercial radio stations.

Thanks!
