Women's Desk

The Women’s Desk produces programming that explores the issues and perspectives of women with a particular focus on the intersections of gender, race, class and sexuality. The Welfare Radio Collaborative is a project of the Women’s Desk. This desk also collaborates with the Women Rising Radio Project.

  • Produces radio programming on a wide spectrum of topics and women's perspectives.

  • Networks with grassroots women's groups to formulate, appear on, use and evaluate programs.

  • Amplifies women's voices by advocating for our perspectives to be heard in public forums and classrooms.

  • Trains women who have little access to technology and communications to record, edit, produce and distribute high impact radio programs.
  • Supported by independent funding sources, the Women’s Desk is free to explore and expose government and corporate roles in issues that affect women. Please support the Women's Desk.
