Within the Bush administration, preparations have been underway for sometime to launch another war against Iraq. Officials in Washington claim that Iraqi president Saddam Hussein is developing weapons of mass destruction, or is actively working to do so. Others raise serious doubts about this assertion. Meanwhile, according to UNICEF, as many as 5000 more children are dying each month since the onset of U.S.-led economic sanctions, now in their twelfth year.
On this edition of Making Contact, we take a look at U.S. policy on Iraq, its impacts on the Iraqi people, and whether the U.S. is justified to go to war there. This week's show features speakers from a forum held earlier this year that was organized by the Education for Peace in Iraq Center.
