MAKING CONTACT - a weekly international radio program
July 25, 2001
Many schools across the United States are literally falling apart. And students are trying to learn in overcrowded and under-funded classrooms. As solutionsto a national crisis in education, President Bush and the U.S. Congress are pushing increased testing requirements and stiff penalties for schools that fail to show improvements. On this program, we take a look at so-called education reform and what some communities are doing to improve their schools.
