Tantamount to Torture: Pepper Spray and Activism

Pepper spray has been linked to numerous deaths in the United States. In some cases, people have died in police custody after being subjected to the burning chemical agent, sparking outrage from victims' families and communities. And, there's been a growing use of pepper spray against social activists as a means of intimidation. On this program, we take a look at how police have used pepper spray during demonstrations and some broader implications.
