According to the AFL-CIO, nearly two thirds of working women say that they provide at least half of their household income, and over 40 percent are the primary breadwinners. Undoubtedly women are a growing force in the American Labor Movement. On this program we will hear from labor leaders and union activists about the gains women have made in the workplace, and the challenges that still lay ahead.
